ASC Institute
Brand Style Guide and Website
ASC Institute is a nonprofit research and development corporation that consults on supply chain systems for the Department of Veterans Affairs. I led and designed the brand strategy process end to end, produced the brand guidelines, and designed and built a WordPress site. Newly formed, ASC was eager to chart a clear brand direction and compete with large, well-established government contractors in the sector. It wanted to be seen as both highly trusted and fresher and more cutting edge than the incumbents — a modern, refreshing, smart, disruptive voice at the table. I created a strategy that aimed to combine modern, minimal, self-assured, professional, and accomplished, and I conducted extensive research on competitors and the client's own materials. I chose colors and fonts familiar to the client, but took a decidedly minimal approach to layout.
Veterans Affairs Logistics Redesign
Newsletter
VALOR is an office at the Department of Veterans Affairs National Headquarters in Washington, DC. Due to a non-disclosure agreement (NDA), I am unable to share the full content of this newsletter; I have included a final version of the template I developed instead. At the time, VALOR was preparing to argue in favor of its program in congressional hearings aimed at defunding it. The communication team devised this newsletter as a strategy to foster coherent talking points across departmental roles.
World Wildlife Fund
Digital and Print Ads
Designed a series of print and digital display ads urging support for wildlife mitigation in response to recent California wildfires.
Three Identity Systems
Trans Healthcare Social Media Graphics
Three identity systems: logos, color, and type applied across collateral.
Slices
Fight Toxic Prisons is a grassroots organizing, advocacy, and direct action nonprofit working at the intersection of incarceration, health, and ecology. This social media carousel — Hurricane Idalia Phone Zap — was built when FTP mobilized on short notice to address an impending humanitarian crisis at prisons and jails across South Florida. I designed and delivered the carousel brief to post within 24 hours, and the phone zap prompted thousands of people to call district jail representatives. FTP needed to reach as many people as possible on short notice, so I used saturated red, excellent contrast, and real photos of recent Florida hurricanes to grab attention, and spaced the copy across the carousel to keep the information clear and digestible.
Bathers Library
Magazine
Bather's Library is a community space, weirdo art school, and small press. I designed and co-produced the May 2026 issue of its magazine. Because this was only the second issue, the project involved a lot of visioning and creative strategy — the publication hadn't yet settled on how to communicate its fun and dynamic segments to its community. I received final edits of curated submissions from the editing team, designed the issue, and built reusable templates for both the magazine and the production process, from design to print-ready files. The editorial layout offered stable guardrails while leaving built-in space for Library members to explore creative iteration in future issues. I worked as a co-producer on the five-person publishing team.
